Nigerian Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick has given condition to retain Austin Eguavoen as the Super Eagles coach.

The Pinnick hinted that he could keep the job if he leads Nigeria to glory in Cameroon.

Pinnick said there was no doubt about the capacity of Eguavoen to manage the national team excellently, he, however, said Eguavoen will play more important role in the technical department.

Pinnick said the NFF might reconsider its position if he wins the ongoing AFCON in Cameroon.

“If Eguavoen won the Cup of Nations, we might have a rethink. In that case, the foreign coach would become the technical director,” the NFF boss told AFP.

Pinnick noted that it was important for the team to sustain the momentum and continue the winning streak

“We are yet to win anything here except pvoenoints.”
