Fast-rising music artiste, Okikiola Habeeb, popularly known as portable Zazoo zeh, has disclosed that he has released about four hundred songs.
Pampamnews reports that the Zazoo Zeh crooner made the disclosure during an interview with Jabless on Friday, he said he’s been doing music for nearly decade. He added that the 400 songs were released using his known stage name —portable. The controversial artiste said his hit single Zazoo zeh is just a freestyle but it brought him fortune and fame.
Portable’s relatively short career in the mainstream of the Nigerian music industry has been dogged by multiple controversies, controversies that nearly upended his fledgling music career.
Speaking on the controversy that surrounded the ownership of Zazoo zeh and his claim that popular dancer, Poco Lee wanted to lay claim to its ownership, Portable said he was the rightful owner of the song and not poco Lee but he was surprised when the artwork of the song gave prominence to Poco Lee instead of him. He said instead of the name listing on the artwork to indicate that he was the one featuring poco Lee and Olamide, it was the other way round with the artwork Indicating that he was being featured.
He noted that, having sensed a foul play, he called the attention of popular show promoter, kogbagidi, who was also his benefactor and he pointed out the discrepancy to him. According to portable, Kogbagidi allayed his fears and promised him his concerns will be addressed, but Kogbagidi didn’t discuss anything with Portable and that’s what led to his calling out of poco Lee for copyright theft.
Speaking his educational qualification, portable said he had to sacrifice his education for his music career as the latter has the potential to quickly change your fortune and release you from the shackles of poverty.
