The federal government on Wednesday announced the shutdown of major facility of Nigeria’s telecommunications giant, Glo over debt.
Pampamnews gathered that the Globacom (Glo) facility in Wuse 2 Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, was shut down by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
NCAA shut down Glo network Abuja base station over a N4.7bn debt owed by the Mike Adenuga owned Globacom.

The closing down of of Glo network Abuja base station was spearheaded by the director-general of the NCAA, Capt. Musa Nuhu, and was supervised by the Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika.

The DG disclosed that the shutdown will continue on a number of Glo’s Main Switch Centres (MSC) accros the country until the telecom company commits to a payment schedule.
