Arsenal football club have stripped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of club’s captaincy.
Pampamnews reports that the development was contained in a short statement issued on Tuesday afternoon by the club on its official website.
According to the statement, the decision to drop Aubameyang as the club’s captain is consequent upon his fresh violation of the Club’s disciplinary protocol.
Aubameyang will not also be selected for West Ham March on Wednesday, the statement disclosed.

“Following his latest disciplinary breach last week, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will no longer be our club captain, and will not be considered for selection for Wednesday’s match against West Ham United.”

The club said it expected all its players, especially its captain, to abide by the rules and standards “we have all set and agreed”.
The club said the team’s attention and focus was on tomorrow’s match.
Aubameyang was also dropped for the 3-0 win over Southampton last weekend after he failed to arrive back at the club as agreed.
Arteta cited a “disciplinary breach” after the game at the Emirates.
