Lagos State Traffic Management Agency has issued an itinerary advisory to Lagosians on thoroughfare they should refrain from plying ahead President Muhammadu Buhari Visits to the state on Thursday.
Buhari will be in Lagos on official visit to inaugurate some projects. Some Lagos roads will be closed during his visit.
Traffic will be diverted in some parts of the state, LASTMA dislosed in a statement on Wednesday.
The areas affected by the traffic diversion and road closure are on Island part of the state.
According to the statement, “Ahmadu Bello Way, from Adeola Odeku Intersection to Adetokunbo Ademola by Eko Hotels Roundabout will be temporarily closed to traffic and traffic diverted to Adeola Odeku, Akin Adesola to connect desired destination,”
“Akin Adesola connecting Ahmadu Bello Way by IMB will be temporarily closed to traffic and traffic will be diverted to Oyin Jolayemi, Oko Awo and Sanusi Fafunwa to connect desired destinations.”
LASTMA said the listed roads will be temporarily closed to traffic in the early hours of Thursday.
The traffic management agency said “all alternative routes shall be effectively managed by security and law enforcement personnel to reduce unnecessary delays.”

The agency noted that “all adjoining streets / feeder roads leading to Ahmadu Bello Way from Adeola Odeku Intersection, as well as those leading to Eko Hotels, from Adetokunbo Ademola Roundabout (Eko Hotels Roundabout) will be temporarily closed to traffic from early hours of the day on Thursday 9th December, 2021.”
