Unspecified number of Boko Haram Insurgents were killed when the terrorist group attacked a military formation in Katarko village, Gujba LGA of Yobe state.

The terrorists were said to have invaded Katarko village with high-caliber weapon of about 10 gun trucks which they used to engage troops stationed at the base in a fierce gun battle.

However, they were subdued and routed by the superior firepower of troops alongside airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), leaving many of them of dead, a source who’s familiar with the development said

Three soldiers also sustained injury during the attack and they have been taken to Damaturu for medical care.

“Two-3 soldiers were injured and have been taken to hospital in Damaturu for treatment,” the source said.
